I don’t think it’s only me. The past several years have been rough for many people. Yet, 2014 seemed to be a breath of fresh air. So many good things happened because we stepped into our own authenticity. Life didn’t happen to us – we made life happen. The tide’s turning. 2015 should be a continuation of the beauty of kindness, acceptance, creativity and thinking on top of one’s intelligence. Don’t let someone else’s life and career dictate who you are. Even though I’m still learning this, I’m sure many of you have this instilled in you already. I’m a slow learner.
It was a pretty decent year, but my beloved comedy world took a hit in the gut. Robin Williams, Mike Nichols, Jan Hooks, Elaine Stritch, Rik Mayall, David Brenner, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joan Rivers…just to name a big handful – are the causalities. Some lived long wonderful lives, while other lives were tragically taken. When we entered 2014, they were here, with us on Earth. Now we have to leave them behind to next year as we flip the page on the new year calendar. And if you are a fan of “Six Feet Under”, especially of the series finale — they falling behind in our side view mirror.
How blessed we were to have had them in our lives. What a beautiful imprint they leave behind.
And now, for the first time since I can remember – I’m not drop kicking the old year out of here like a soggy bag of trash. No. 2014 was terrific. I’m sad to see it go, but excited to keep the momentum going and gaining new heights in the new year. I hope the same will happen for all of you! Thank you! Thank you for reading this blog. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for sharing you thoughts! Many blessing Good Write Readers! I look forward to reading your blogs tonight and in the new year!
